'Whatever power has taken hold of the TARDIS has taken your pen.' 'There's a difference between resting and being sort of... bone idle.' 'No, impossible at this temperature. Besides, it's too warm.' 'And if you'd had your shoes on, my boy, you could have lent her hers.'

THE COMPANIONS: Dopey space-child SUSAN FOREMAN, reluctantly being put through British comprehensive education by "exiled" Grandfather Who until sprung by nosey tutors and who later eloped with an equally dippy 22nd century freedom fighter; Dowdy smartarse history teacher BARBARA WRIGHT, first of many sticky-beaks to "stumble" accidentally into the TARDIS, along with staff room colleague IAN CHESTERTON, a posh buffoon with a penchant for hoofing about and much "oh-crikey" derring-do; 25th century orphan VICKI, a stripy-jumpered moody adolescent who ended up running off with a Trojan prince; Space pilot STEPHEN TAYLOR, a bluff cove played by a bouffant-ed PETER PURVES and who developed a fine line in bar-room karaoke; The hapless KATARINA from Troy, written out via a handy self-ejection-through-a-deadly-airlock after just four episodes; DODO CHAPLET, who blundered into the TARDIS simply to make up the numbers for a bit; And affable Cockney sailor BEN JACKSON, stowing away from the swinging London of 1966.
