UP ABOVE THE GODS: The superbly chilling Evil Of The Daleks, one of only a handful occasions on which the reasons why the 'metal meanies' sent generations of mythical viewers scurrying behind the sofa are clearly apparent, even if it is somewhat compromised by the silly cheapo climax. Closely followed by the reactivation scene in Tomb Of The Cybermen; despite years of fan revisionism over the story's merits from the "only 82% of Monty Python was any good when you look at it imho ;)" brigade, it still looks astonishingly effective and realistic for a low budget science fiction television show made in 1967.
