THE LOOK: Staple ingredient of the Saturday night telly golden age. Post-classified-footy-results scary title sequence with a swirling time tunnel reminiscent of 2001's mind-bending conclusion and the walnut whip adverts. Baker's shocked face dissolving into diamond-shaped logo and gothic typeface credits. Lovely "shnoo-shnoo-shnoo" noise at the end of the closing theme. Early stories had lots of running down dank, misty passages, and a fair amount of body horror. Later stories introduced the wooden "secondary console room" design and, towards the end, plenty of silly monsters in the shape of minotaurs, cacti, etc.

So, we've had enough of doing the Doctor Who theme tune, you're on your own now. Seriously, you are.
