| THE COMPANIONS: Only two, and neither were exclusive to Colin. First up was nasal cod-American student PERI who, over her time in the show changed from leotard and hot pants to white stilettos, padded jackets and big hair. And then there was MELANIE BUSH "known as Mel" who even TV Cream's mum knew was all wrong. Played by Bonnie Langford, her shtick was to try and get the Doctor to lose weight. Well, stopping him hanging around with Tony Selby and Joan Sims would have been a good start. |
