UP ABOVE THE GODS: The sixth Doctor doesn't seem to be anyone's favourite, but we have to say we rather like him. OK, he doesn't really have any especially great stories but he'll normally work in something enjoyable in every episode. Absent-mindedly telling Peri to shoot an undercover copper in Attack of the Cyberman, as well as playing Bach's Prelude And Fugue on the TARDIS when it turns into a pipe organ in the same story ("those notes were real, folks") is all top in our book. Likewise, his copious bits of sneaking around and peeping in windows during The Two Doctors, and his proffering of a handshake to Davros after the latter has just had his arm blown off in Revelation of the Daleks is great fun. Admittedly, his neck-tie does tend to overwhelm him during the whole Trial stuff (with that yellow one being a particular problem) but even here the sixth Doctor has some charm. "I am known as the Doctor" indeed.
