TRIAL OF A TIME LORD: Lest we forget, Colin Baker's second series ran back to back with Roland Rat: The Series in the most blatant evocation of that '70s Basil/Who scheduling juxtaposition until this Monkey thing gets off the ground in 2005. And that meant we got Colin Baker showing up on the titular rodent's show, trying to shoot Kevin the Gerbil and pompously cuing in "Doctor Who... the series". Alas, it was all less than the sum of its parts and what with the whole 18 months cancellation crisis stuff and then poor old Colin's subsequent sacking and his blub-fest in The Sun it makes up for two years Doctor Who fans would rather forget.
